We all want faster broadband but quite often we are let down by poor WiFi strength. Modern routers are pretty good but thick walls and long distances from router to device weaken the WiFi signal.

 

The good news is that we can improve the signal with WiFi extenders or WiFi boosters.

 

Remember these 3 key points

 

Place your extender half way between your router and where you want to use your device

Put your router in the centre of your house for best WiFi coverage

Connect your router to the main BT socket for the best broadband speed

 

After you have setup the router and extenders, check download speed by using a website like openspeedtest.com in each room.

 

Solid walls block the WiFi signal, wooden floors and partition walls are transparent.
